the session & modalities

The Session

Each session is based on needs and necessities of what is going on in the body. The below are tools I use for the session and these tools may not always be used. First session is always Manual Therapy to get acclimated on how the body responds. Ill always follow up 24-48hrs for feedback and outcome. For Athletic Recovery or just recovery from active lifestyle and chronic issues Elite Therapy is for you. 

Deep Tissue Therapy

Deep Tissue MASSAGE

Deep Tissue Massage reaches deeper layers of muscles. It is used to break down tension in the tissue and relieve stress throughout the body. My form of Deep Tissue is programmed for athletes  and active lifestyle for proper athletic recovery time and enhancement for performance. Feel Flat is not always a good response unless its needed. Deep tissue is effective when the write programming is applied for recovery.

Soft Tissue Therapy

The goal of Soft Tissue  is to alleviate muscle tension, adhesions scar tissue that can be creating limited mobility and stress around the effected area. Soft tissue Therapy is a more clinical and a medical approach for treatment. Soft tissue is a form of massage therapy with a more clinical specification.

 

Deep Tissue Therapy

Stretching

Stretching  allows the body to feel lengthened after  soft tissue treatment is complete. The objective is to have muscular tissue, joints, and ligaments to have great movement and athletic recovery. Stretching is an added value in the  massage session to give the feeling of elongation.

Cupping

Cupping

Cupping stimulates the  superficial integumentary system

helping  distribution  of recirculation of blood and superficial lymph fluids and improves tissue health.

 Cups provide Negative Pressure:.

  • Creating a pulling action which allows separation of fused adhered tissue.
  • Pulling action can draw out debris that is trapped with in the tissues.
  • Cupping can assist with lymphatic drainage of the body
  • Cupping with massage can be effective for many superfiscial and deep muscular restrictions

Graston

Fascial Abrasion Technique (AKA GRASTON)

The Fascial Abrasion Technique AKA Graston is used to break down scar tissue and adhesions to resolve fascial limitations. Fascial abrasion is used to treat painful conditions from injury or overuse disorders such as  plantar fasciitis, IT Band syndrome, Frozen shoulder, and  tendonosis (Achilles, rotator cuff) patella-femoral knee pain and many other musculoskeletal issues.  Combined with massage makes treatment very effective.

Red Light Therapy

(Infrared Red Light Therapy ) *Office Only

When delivered within the optimal wavelengths and energy levels, red-light therapy and near infrared light protect your body’s cells from nitric oxide damage, which can otherwise stop the cell’s production of ATP when you’re stressed or ill. Red light therapy photons allow your cells to continue utilizing oxygen effectively by minimizing the absorption of nitric oxide. Only red light therapy can reach all the way into a cell’s mitochondria to stimulate healing and regeneration to help improve your appearance, performance, and overall well-being and athletic recovery.
